Project:Article editing
From Astrology In Depth
Structure and syntax of AstrologyInDepth.com articles are similar to Wikipedia's. Please note that astrologers on our site review article edits and make any necessary adjustments, so please do not let worries over this prevent you from adding otherwise valuable content!
- We strive to have short and summary generalised prefaces on all articles.
- The very begining of an article usually has the subject of the article bolded, ie from The Sun article:
- The Sun is the core of our solar system and entire point of reference in space. ...
- The rest of the content is separated into headings and subheadings. See below as to how to achieve this.
How to embolden a statement
Take for example the following preface from The Sun article. "The Sun" is emboldened by using three single apostrophes at the start of the statement, and three more at the end of it:
'''The Sun''' is the core of our solar system and entire point of reference in space.
Results in:
- The Sun is the core of our solar system and entire point of reference in space.
How to create headings (like this one)
A heading is created by surrounding a text with equal signs, from two on each side, and more as the subheading's rank is lowered.
For example:
== Mythology ==
or a subheading under that:
=== In eastern traditions ===
The heading has to be on its own line. Some thing like this will not work:
=== In eastern traditions === The Sun has been associated with ....
