The air element reflects a permeable, inconsistent construct, mostly given to whims. The signs of Gemini, Libra and Aquarius are formulated out of this element.

This gaseous element is strongly permeable, unstable and volatile, and is often changeful. This element is better suited for moving others, rather than building things in itself, as what it does build tends to have the quality of "castles in the air". There is also an issue with fickleness. Strong air influences tend to inconsistency in thinking, attitude and/or responses, although this can happen without them actually realizing it.

As the air seeks to fill voids, air people often fill the interpersonal space with their presence, establishing communication and livening things. A lack of an Air-influenced person in such a situation may well leave a distinct void.
